NOC Sheep Production students earn honors

TONKAWA — The NOC Sheep Production and Management Class attended the North American International Livestock Exposition Nov. 13-18 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The group exhibited 14 head of Dorset and Hampshire sheep for the NOC Sheep Center. On the “green chips” at Louisville, NOC 9008 was the class winning Winter/Spring Dorset Wether Dam and went on to be named the Champion Dorset Wether Dam.
NOC also exhibited the class winning Yearling Dorset Wether Dam.
Students at the show included Sydni Case, Wellston; Brynna Keeler, Ponca City; Bailey Hooper, Ponca City; Emily Miller, Thorntown, IN; Brock Moman, Newkirk; JaLeigh Oldenburg, Mulhall; and Bridget Kemp, Adair.
NAILE is the “Super Bowl” of sheep shows in the United States.
