No right turn on red sign removed at First and Highland

City Commissioners approved a request Monday night to remove the “No-Right-Turn-on-Red” restriction for northbound traffic at the intersection of First Street and Highland Avenue.Traffic Engineering manager Mike Lane studied the accident history and visibility at the intersection which has had the restriction for decades and decided to recommend a trial period to remove the restriction.
