OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Oklahoma City police say no arrests have been made after a man shot and killed a would-be burglar.

Authorities say 23-year-old Carson Welch was fatally shot early Monday by a homeowner in far western Oklahoma City.

Police were contacted about 2:30 a.m. by a homeowner identified as Michael Farha who said he could see someone trying to break into his vehicle. Authorities say Farha confronted Welch and that both he and the alleged burglar were armed.

Welch was shot and killed during the confrontation and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the case, but no arrests have been made.
