A 37-year-old Newkirk man was injured in an accident at 6:06 p.m. Monday on U.S. 77, just south of Canteen Road, about 1.2 miles south of Newkirk.

Michael Wolf was transported by Newkirk EMS to Ponca City, then by AirEvac to OU Medical Center, where he was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.

His 1993 Ford Ranger was traveling northbound and departed the roadway to the right. Wolf overcorrected and departed the roadway to the left, and the truck went into a broadslide and rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels. Wolf was ejected an unknown distance from the truck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Wolf was not wearing his seat belt.
