New warning signs ordered for South Avenue underpass

Ponca City Now - September 24, 2019 1:35 pm

New LED signs warning about the height of the South Avenue underpass have been ordered and are expected to be delivered by Oct. 17.

The old lighted eastbound sign will be removed, along with a couple of the members of the support structure off the bridge to have them rebuilt. There will be a temporary low clearance warning sign installed in the interim.

City Manager Craig Stephenson said the new sign is expected to be operational at the end of October.
