The tree in front of City Hall has brightened downtown.

Now another part of the city is going to be flipping the switch to its Christmas lights.

The official lighting of Festival of Angels was held Wednesday

Bob Henderson, Festival of Angels President said they will have hayrides, horse drawn carriages and hot chocolate to kick it off.

" We have Lake Ponca, that’s where the main deal is," Henderson said."Than Pioneer Woman, we have the big 30-foot angel. And than at Cannon Gardens we have a tremendous display at that location .”

There are some new displays this year and the lights will stay on until Dec. 30.
