The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a fatal collision occurred about 3:40 Sunday afternoon on Canteen Road at S Street, located 5 miles east and 3 miles north of Blackwell city limits in Kay County.

A 50-year-old woman, Debra Sue Randolph of Harrisonville, Mo., was pronounced dead at the scene from internal injuries. Her body was transported to Roberts and Sons Funeral Home in Blackwell. She was a passenger in a 2011 Ford Focus driven by Nicky Joe Randolph Jr., 47, also of Harrisonville. He was transported by EagleMed to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition with internal injuries.

Erik Thomas Odegaard, 36, of Newkirk, was driving a 1998 GMC pickup. He was not injured in the collision. A passenger in his truck, 33-year-old Amanda Lee Robinson of Newkirk was taken by personal vehicle to Ponca City in good condition with a head injury.

The Highway Patrol said the Randolphs’ vehicle was southbound on S street and Odegaard’s truck was eastbound on Canteen Road as both approached an uncontrolled intersection. Randolph’s car failed to yield to the truck on the right and was struck broadside on the passenger side. The car left the roadway to the left and came to a stop. The truck left the roadway to the right and rolled, coming to rest on its top.
