Ponca City Police located Brandy Daffern, 16, shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Ash Street. Daffern had been reported missing in mid-November.

She originally lived in Shawnee and had been placed at Marland Children’s Home. She was missing after attending an event at Pioneer Technology Center.

After she was found Thursday night, she was taken to Northern Oklahoma Youth Services. Marland Children’s Home released her from its custody and a Pottawatomie County Department of Human Services caseworker was contacted.

The Kay County Office of Juvenile Affairs placed Daffern at NOYS until she could be returned to Pottawatomie County on Friday.

Ponca City Police took a followup report.
