Miss NOC set for Oct. 17 in Tonkawa

The 33rd annual Miss NOC will be crowned Tuesday, October 17tb at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center in Tonkawa.

The program starts at 7:30 p.m.

Eleven contestants from NOC Enid and NOC Tonkawa are participating in the event.

Contestants are Kila Venable, Enid; Kennedy Brown, Ponca City; Autumn Leist, Ponca City; Abby Davis, Tonkawa; Jocelyn Kuhlmann, Tonkawa; Alee Hunt, Seiling; Makayla McCullough, Alva; Alyssa Walker, Ponca City; Cheyenne Ethridge, Longview, TX; Faith Oshiro, Enid; and Jaidyn Burrell, Roland.

Miss NOC is a free event and open to the public.

For the first time, the event is combined with contestants from Enid and Tonkawa competing for the title. Last year, Kira Pendleton was named Miss NOC Tonkawa and Kaycee Babek was named Miss NOC Enid.

Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first public two-year community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services.

NOC serves nearly 4,000 students through the home campus in Tonkawa, branch in Enid, and NOC/OSU Gateway Program in Stillwater. Of these students about 80% receive financial aid and/or scholarships. 75% of NOC students complete their degree with zero debt.

The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers associate degrees in three general areas: Arts, Science, and Applied Science; the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs; and the Accreditation Commission for Education and Nursing.
