This year the pageant was changed to coincide with KawFest, said Ca’Trina Rathbun, pageant coordinator for the Kaw Lake Association and Pure NRG Pageants. Due to the high water level and the rescheduling of KawFest, the pageant has also been rescheduled.

“This is a natural pageant and all make-up should be age appropriate,” Rathbun said. “Dresses can be Sunday dress, flower girl dress or natural pageant dress.”

In addition, girls can also enter the Outfit of Choice, which is outdoor wear, anything related to sports or outdoor activities. Fee for the Outfit of Choice Category is an additional $25. Girls can provide their own music for a maximum of: 90 seconds and props are allowed.

The first 15 girls to enter by Friday, June 5 can save $15 on their OOC entry after entering the Miss Kaw Lake Beauty part. All entrants will be given a tiara.
