Mascot issue settled

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – New Mexico State and Oklahoma State have resolved their dispute over NMSU’s use of a pistol-packing mascot similar to the one used by the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State sued in federal court in Oklahoma in October to get NMSU to stop using the mascot sometimes referred to in Las Cruces as "Classic Aggie."
