Marland’s Grand Home Celebrating E.W. Marland’s150th Birthday This Saturday, Public Invited

Marland’s Grand Home, 1000 East Grand, will have a party celebrating E.W. Marland’s 150th birthday this Saturday, May 4 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and your invited.

Guests speakers during a ceremony beginning at 11:00 am include Oklahoma Senator Bill Coleman, U.S. Congressman Frank Lucas, the Chief of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Col. Pat Mays and Oklahoma Representative Ken Luttrell.

Rob Bodick will re-enact E.W. Marland.

Entertainment will include the Ponca City High School Band, Jazz Trio and Jazz pianist Mike Seals.

The first 150 people to enter will receive a 150th birthday commemorative coin featuring E.W. Marland and the Grand home.

When you attend, you will have the option to purchase paintings of items from the mansion painted by area artists that will be on display around the home. Artists viewed items from Marland’s Grand Home and then painting their rendition of the object on a 5”x 5” canvas. Proceeds from painting sales will go to Friends of Marland’s Grand Home for continued restoration of the house.
