Marland motorcyclist injured in collision on Riverview Place

A Marland motorcyclist was injured Tuesday in a collision on Riverview Place, two tenths of a mile east of U.S. Highway 177, three miles south of Ponca City.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said  the accident occurred about 4:17 p.m. Tuesday.

A 2004 Nissan 350Z, driven by Brandon Lee Pewo, 21, of Ponca City, was westbound on Riverview Place with a 1980 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by Michael Joseph Brown, 37,  of Marland, following.

The Highway Patrol said Pewo slowed to make a left turn and Brown attempted to pass the car on the left, striking the vehicle on the driver’s side.

Brown was transported by MediFlight to Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition, with internal trunk and leg injuries, the patrol reported.

Pewo was not injured, according to the patrol.
