PAWNEE, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 55-year-old Pawnee man drowned while swimming in northern Oklahoma.

The OHP says Albert Alan Lorentz Jr. was swimming at the Bear Creek Reservoir near Pawnee when he disappeared on Friday.

The OHP says a man, who was with Lorentz, told investigators he was fishing when he noticed Lorentz was missing.

The OHP said Lorentz, who was not wearing a flotation device, floated to the surface while searchers were looking for him.
