MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO MURDER OF WOMAN FOUND AT LAKE THUNDERBIRD

NORMAN, Okla. –

Special agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation have arrested a man in connection to the murder of a woman who was found at Lake Thunderbird.

Charissia Dawn Bell‘s remains were discovered at Lake Thunderbird on Feb. 13.

Austin Godwin, 30, was arrested before midnight on Tuesday on the complaints of first-degree murder and unlawful disposal of a body.

Goodwin was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.

The Norman Police Department, Oklahoma Park Rangers and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office assisted OSBI on the case.
