At 12:01 Friday morning, PCPD received a report that a man in a black 4X4 truck had shot at the reporting party while he was driving in the vicinity of Highland and Ranch Drive.

Reportedly, the vehicle was following a larger, white truck that was hauling dirt, and the driver was shooting at that truck as well.

Police received a second call, this time from the driver of the white dirt truck saying that he had stopped his vehicle near the intersection of Hubbard Road and Ranch Drive.

The PCPD contacted the Kay County Sheriff’s office and a pursuit was initiated. The black truck with the shooter was stopped at 14th Street and Otoe in front of the Sonic Drive-in.

The Kay County Sheriff’s Office took 37-year-old Stephen Hogan, a California resident, into custody.

No other information is available at this time.
