SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) – A central Oklahoma man is accused of fatally hitting a pedestrian with a vehicle and then leaving the scene.

The Shawnee News-Star (http://bit.ly/1zzfri3 ) reports 23-year-old Jarrod Scott Danner of Tecumseh is charged with the felony of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury. He is accused in the early January hit-and-run accident in Shawnee that resulted in fatal injuries for 48-year-old Brian Keith Kuhlman.

Police detectives say they were able to connect Danner to the accident from vehicle parts that were left at the scene.

Danner could face imprisonment for up to two years if convicted of the charge against him. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
