Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) released the following statement regarding tonight’s Joint Session of Congress to count the electoral ballots for the President and Vice President of the United States:

“Since November 4th, I’ve shared countless conversations with constituents about the questions surrounding the presidential election. I share the concerns of many of my fellow Oklahomans about irregularities throughout the 2020 presidential election.

“Following the first round of debate surrounding the state of Arizona’s electors, I have voted to agree to the objection. As Congress debates additional objections to other electors, I will continue to share my fellow Oklahomans’ concerns with my House colleagues and work with them to strengthen our election integrity. Americans deserve to have confidence in our electoral system; therefore, I am committed to restoring the faith of the American people in our elections.”
