Kay County is collaborating with the National Weather Service to confirm a low-end tornado touched down on Monday night, May 6th, starting around 8:45 PM. The storms affected far east/southeast Ponca City around the Lake Ponca area and moved northeast through Kay County. The attached photo illustrates the suspected path based on damage assessments collected over the past few days.
Since Tuesday morning, Kay County has been actively collecting evidence and photos.
