Last week the nursing students at the University Center participated in NWOSU’s Beautification Day.
Students and staff at the Alva campus worked together to beautify the campus for spring. The NWOSU nursing students that attend the UC put together their own project at the University Center. They cleaned out the flower beds at the front entrance, planted flowers, put in fresh mulch, and cleaned up around the front of the building.
Nursing instructor Sarah Martin reflected, “Our NWOSU nursing students are always eager to give back, and refreshing the flower beds at the University Center was a great way to show pride in our campus while serving the community.” Thanks to UC Foundation facilities coordinator Bill Geubelle for gathering the supplies and providing instructions. Participants included students Shayla Burris, Courtney Koeppen, Ashley Webb, NWOSU nursing instructor Sarah Martin, UC Student Services Director Dakota Reames, and UC Director Tim Williams.
