Despite his physical struggles, Doncic’s performance was outstanding, contributing 29 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. PJ Washington and Kyrie Irving also came up big, with Washington’s 29 points and 11 rebounds setting the tone for the Mavericks’ win.
Despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 33 points, the Thunder suffered their first postseason loss and allowed over 100 points for the first time in six playoff games. The Mavericks displayed resilience reminiscent of their first-round victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, showing their ability to perform under pressure. Looking ahead, Doncic acknowledged the Thunder’s strength but expressed confidence in the Mavericks’ ability to compete.
