Shelby Black Added to Lady Mavs’ Basketball Staff

NOC Tonkawa named Shelby Black as the assistant women’s basketball coach this week. Black is a recent Oklahoma State University Graduate where she earned a degree in University Studies and Secondary Education. She played at NOC Enid and Grayson County (TX). Black, a native of Red Rock, Oklahoma, attended Frontier High School. She has a six-month old daughter, Astryd James Rodriguez-Black.

“Shelby is a great fit for us,” said Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause.  “She has collegiate playing experience and is a local standout from Frontier High School. Shelby will have strong connections with area prospects. This is an opportunity for her to add coaching experience at the college level.”

Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first public two-year community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services. NOC serves nearly 4,000 students through the home campus in Tonkawa, branch in Enid, and NOC/OSU Gateway Program in Stillwater.
