The Tonkawa Police Department, in conjunction with the 8th District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Unit-Drug Task Force and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN), executed a Search Warrant at a Tonkawa residence early Sunday morning which led to the seizure of methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl – all packaged for distribution and sale.
Firearms and cash were also recovered and linked to the ongoing investigation. As a result of the operation, one Tonkawa resident was taken into custody and is facing charges including trafficking of fentanyl, Aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of firearms after felony conviction, Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs within 2000-Ft. of a Daycare and/or School, Maintaining a Dwelling Where Drugs Are Kept/Sold, Child Endangerment, and Violation of the Drug Endangered Children Doctrine. It is important to note that additional charges and suspects are pending as the investigation remains active.
It is the goal of the Tonkawa Police Department, along with our partner agencies, to protect our community and eliminate the distribution of illegal drugs. We commend the efforts of all involved in this operation and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens.
