Part of K-49 in Sumner County will be closed for 24 hours starting Aug. 22 so a railroad can work on a crossing.
According to a news release from the Kansas Department of Transportation Thursday morning, the closure will be on K-49 just south of U.S. 160 near Mayfield. The closure is expected to last from 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, to 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 23.
Signs will direct motorists to a detour on state highways, highlighted in red on the map below.
