Winter-related watches issued across northern Oklahoma

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has placed Osage and Pawnee counties under a Winter Storm Watch. The watch goes from Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon. Total sleet and snow accumulations of up to around one inch and ice accumulations of around 1/10 of an inch are possible in the given area.

The National Weather Service in Norman has a Winter Weather Advisory for Noble and Payne counties in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Thursday. Mixed precipitation expected with a predominant type of sleet. Total combined sleet and snow accumulations of up to one inch, and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.

Kay County has a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Wind chills as low as 10 below zero are possible.
