The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Wind Advisory for Kay County and surrounding areas from Noon today until midnight tonight.
Counties included are Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Kay, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Garfield, Noble, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine, Kingfisher, Logan, Payne, Beckham, Washita, Caddo, Canadian, Oklahoma, Greer and Kiowa.
South winds at 25 to 35 mph are likely across the area with gusts up to 45 mph possible.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
