Two Red Rock Individuals Injured In Pawnee County Accident

A personal injury collision occurred at approximately 6:12 p.m. Tuesday evening on State Highway 15 03′ west of Country Road 34100, approximately 5 north and 6 miles west of Pawnee in Pawnee County.

Mykena Combs, 18, of Red Rock was driving a 2016 Chrysler 200 eastbound on State Highway 15 at a high rate of speed. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Combs stated that she was driving approximately 10 mph over the speed limit. The vehicle went over a steep hillcrest. Combs abruptly applied the brakes, leaving approximately 114 feet of tire mark on the roadway. The vehicle departed the roadway right approximately 117 feet, going into a broad slide and continuing for approximately 150 feet. The vehicle then traveled approximately 186 feet across the roadway, and departed the roadway approximately 102 feet before going up an embankment and striking a fence. The vehicle began to roll, traveled approximately 261 feet and rolled multiple times before coming to a rest on its top.

Combs had three passengers in the vehicle with her. Brandon Scott Richardson, 18, of Ponca City, Alexander Michael Combs, 19, of Red Rock and Nicolas Allen Fowler, 18, of Ponca City.

As for injuries, Combs was transported by MediFlight to St. Francis in Tulsa. Admitted in fair condition, with trunk internal, head, and arm injuries. Alexander was transported by Pawnee EMS to Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater before being transported by LifeNet to St. Francis in Tulsa. Alexander was admitted in fair condition, with trunk internal injuries.. Richardson and Fowler were not injured.

The condition of the driver and cause of the collision was listed as a DUID.

 

The accident was investigated by Trooper Regnier #219 of the Osage/Pawnee Detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Pawnee Sheriff Department, MediFlight, and Pawnee EMS.
