The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 3,017 new positive COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, Nov. 18. Oklahoma’s seen 161,425 COVID-19 cases overall as 29,823 cases are active.
Oklahoma’s death toll rose by 26 to put the amount of deaths overall to 1,570. Two of the recent deaths were local. One being a Kay County male in the 65 or older group, and one being a Noble County woman in the 65 or older group.
Kay County also saw 37 new COVID-19 cases to put the overall stats to 1,344 COVID-19 cases, 21 deaths and 1,038 recoveries. As for the 285 active cases for Kay County, there are 180 for Ponca City, 42 for Blackwell, 36 for Newkirk, 22 for Tonkawa, four for Kaw City and one for Braman. For new cases in local counties, there are 60 for Payne, 34 for Garfield, 25 for Logan, 24 for Osage, 15 each for Pawnee and Washington, five for Noble and three for Grant. Click here to see complete COVID-19 details for all 77 Oklahoma counties.

OSDH is also reporting 1,975 new recoveries, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 130,032. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Latest information from health officials as of Wednesday shows that 1,707,516 test results in Oklahoma have returned negative. There have been 10,687 total hospitalizations and 1,434 individuals were currently hospitalized as of Tuesday.
