Two students from Liberty Elementary School in Ponca City recently competed in the Regional Spelling Bee at Pond Creek-Hunter Middle School in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Raegan Heskett, 5th Grader in Peggy Renfro’s class and Bryan Logan, 4th Grader in Deborah Waterman’s classroom. There were seven contestants from schools in the Ponca City region. Bryan was the 3rd place winner and will serve as an alternate for the State Spelling Bee at the Samis Education Center in The Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City on Feb. 29.
