The U.S. Geological Survey Team is reporting two earthquakes that occurred in Kay and Grant counties Monday afternoon.
The first was a 2.9 magnitude earthquake that happened at 2:57 p.m. Monday with an epicenter located 6.2 miles ESE of Jefferson, and about 7 miles west of Lamont in southeastern Grant County.
The second was a 3.7 magnitude earthquake that happened at 4:48 p.m. Monday with an epicenter located 4.3 miles north of Nardin, and about 10 miles northwest of Blackwell in western Kay County.
No damage has been reported at this time from any of the earthquakes. This is two days after a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred Saturday night north of Perry in Noble County.
