Tulsa man killed in collision near Braman

A fatality collision occurred at 12:46 a.m. Friday morning along Interstate 35 southbound at mile marker 230 just west of Braman in northwestern Kay County.

The first individual involved was Brian Bedingfield, 53, of Tulsa who was driving a 2017 Ford F-150 Pick Up. The other individual was Sherman Cobble, 45, of Kellyville, Ok. who was driving a 2016 Peterbilt Tractor. While the cause of the accident remains unknown, OHP report states that Bedingfield was pronounced dead on the scene by Blackwell EMS. Bedingfield was later transported by the Medical Examiner to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City. Sherman was not injured.

Report also states that both individuals had their seatbelts equipped. Airbags deployed for Bedingfield’s vehicle, but no airbags for Sherman.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Beck #700 of Troop K.  Assisted by Kay County Sheriff’s Office, Blackwell Fire Department/EMS, Braman Fire Department.
