The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a personal injury collision that occurred at approximately 7:37 p.m. Thursday night on State Highway 18 & County Road Littlechief Ranch Road, approximately 1.8 miles north and 0.5 miles east of Fairfax in Osage County.
Ricky Fowler, 48, of Tulsa was driving a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on State Highway 18 and attempted to negotiate a curve. Fowler then departed the roadway to the right and laid the bike over.
Fowler was apparently in normal condition. There were no passengers with him. The cause of the accident was listed as speeding too fast for the curve.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Hempel #798 of the Osage/Pawnee Detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Osage Sheriff Department, Fairfax Police Department, Miller EMS, and Fairfax Fire Department.
