If you are interested in filing for Newkirk City Commission seat No. 2, you can file for Declarations of Candidacy.
Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the Kay County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. this evening, Wednesday Feb. 9, when the filing period ends. Contest of Candidacy must be filed no later than Friday Feb. 11 and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed.

The Kay County Election Board office is located at 201 S. Main St in the basement of the Kay County Courthouse and is open form 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
