Three individuals were injured from a personal injury collision that occurred at approximately 5:06 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 11, 3 miles west of Barnsdall in Osage County.
Claudette Martin, 32, of Pawhuska was driving a GMC Yukon on highway 11 when she failed to negotiate a turn to the right losing control. The vehicle then departed roadway to the left into a powerline pole. A male juvenile 13-year-old passenger who’s name is withheld was ejected for an unknown distance.
The juvenile passenger that was ejected was transported by Barnsdall EMS to St Francis in Tulsa. Admitted in good condition, with head, trunk internal and leg injuries. As for the other juveniles with Martin, an 8-year-old male and 7-year-old female were both transported by Pawhuska EMS to St. Francis in Tulsa where they were treated and released. Martin was not injured.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol listed the cause of the accident as unsafe speed.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Armstrong #246 of the Osage County Detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Osage County Sheriffs Office, Barnsdall EMS, and Pawhuska EMS.
