NOC selected 3 civic-minded students who are eager to learn how they might use their gifts, talents, and energy to serve others to the 1st Annual Oklahoma Student Leadership Forum.

The forum invited young people of diverse backgrounds and aspirations to set aside their differences and learn how to lead in their communities together.

This was a unique opportunity for students of Oklahoma’s institutions of higher education to join together and be challenged to think differently.

The students were given the opportunity to meet with politicians and business leaders to discuss servant leadership. Reflecting on the teachings of historic leaders such as Mother Teresa, William Wilberforce, Jesus of Nazareth, and Martin Luther King, Jr.. They addressed and facilitated valuable discussion around issues such as reconciliation, serving the poor, integrity, purpose, and love.

The students come from a wide spectrum of religious and cultural backgrounds as we find diversity greatly enriches their time together.
