The City of Blackwell has received reports that scammers are making phone calls to Blackwell residents, identifying themselves as representatives from the City of Blackwell and demanding payment for utility bills over the phone, specifically mentioning electric payments.
These calls have allegedly also been coming AFTER regular hours of the Blackwell City Hall.
The City of Blackwell will NEVER contact you outside the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
DO NOT give out ANY personal information over the phone, and please report these calls to the City of Blackwell’s Utilities Department at 363-7200.
