TONKAWA – The Tonkawa Police Department has received several auto burglaries in the Tonkawa area lately. Tonkawa PD reminds everyone to please lock your vehicles. Odds are that if your vehicle is locked, the thief will move on to easier prey. Not always, but it’s a good basic deterrent. Even if you don’t want a report, let us know what is happening so we can pinpoint high crime areas.
When it warms up again, police anticipate more of these. If you have a camera at home that you are able to point toward your driveway or the street, that will help Tonkawa PD identify suspects. Don’t hesitate to call in anything suspicious.
