Three Ponca City wrestlers placed at the United States Junior Open Championship national wrestling tournament held last weekend in Oklahoma City. As a team, Ponca City finished in seventh place. Wrestlers from junior high and high school teams participated.
Chris Kiser won the championship at 106 pounds. Garrett Short placed third at 75 pounds and Ethan Pappan placed fifth at 132 pounds.
