A Ponca City man was involved in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 6:17 p.m. Saturday evening on State Highway 11, north of County Road 2460, two miles north of Barnsdall in Osage County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Dalton Vogele, 22, was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram and towing a horse trailer east on highway 11 when he departed the roadway to the right, causing the horse trailer to detach from the vehicle. Vogele then reportedly overcorrected to the left, departing the roadway to the left, rolling one and half times, coming to rest on its top, landing on barbed wire fence.
Vogele was transported by Miller EMS to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa where he is admitted in fair condition with internal trunk injuries.
Troopers report the odor of alcohol was present and that the cause of the collision is inattention.
