A Ponca City man made an appearance in the Kay County Court and entered a no contest plea for three felony counts of producing juvenile pornography and one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.
Phillip Appleman, 39, was arrested in February of 2020 by Ponca City PD after taking pictures of two juveniles on his phone. Police found 25 phots on his phone of the juveniles, along with five photos of fully-clothed women who didn’t know they were photographed. Appleman now faces 45 years in prison with 10 years suspended.
Appleman pleaded guilty in court on May 6 where he must register as a sex offender and must pay restitution that costs $2,435.97.
