Late in the fall of 2018, the Oklahoma Coaches Association named Sunny Batschelette, a Po-Hi Senior, to the 6A All-State Volleyball Team as a representative of the large east Schools. The Oklahoma All-State Volleyball Team members are chosen by a panel of coaches from the Oklahoma Volleyball Coaches Association.
Coached by Jaimee Miller, Sunny has played Lady Wildcat Volleyball all four years at Po-Hi. She is also a member of the Shockwave Club Volleyball Program in Wichita, Kansas. During her tenure with the Shockwave, the team has shown much success and were invited to play in two national tournaments.
Ponca City School Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “Sunny is a driven, hard-working student and athlete, who puts in the dedication and drive it takes to be her very best. Upon graduation, Sunny will attend Southern Nazarene University, in Bethany, OK, where she will further her education and play volleyball. She will play in the annual All-State matches on July 23, 2019 at ORU’s Mabee Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The District is proud of Sunny and her accomplishments, work-ethic, and desire to continually improve in all walks of her life. #pcpsproud #teampcps.”
