May 1 is School Principal’s Day! During this time, it is more important than ever to say thank you to school principals. Strong leadership is always needed, and during these unprecedented times, Ponca City Public School Principals have been remarkable!

PCPS Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “We are thankful for their dedication and enthusiasm that you have brought to our school and community. You are always smiling and providing encouraging words to our staff and you inspire all of us.”

“Principals must fill many roles, such as a leader, counselor, and teacher. They must be versatile and must have strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills, and have the ability to motivate others. They guide and support our quality teachers and staff, resulting in successful learning environments for our children. Many of our students see their principals as a role model and a friend. Our teachers rely on their principals to ensure the school is providing the necessary equipment, resources, and support they need.”

“Join us as we celebrate our elementary, middle and high school Principals for their leadership and dedication to providing the best education possible for our students.”
