This is National School Lunch Heroes Day, and the Ponca City Public School District has been celebrating their Child Nutrition Lunch Heroes all morning. School administrators hand-delivered special gift bags full of goodies to all PCPS Lunch Heroes serving on the front lines.
Superintendent Shelley Arrott explained, “Our Lunch Heroes have shielded our communities from the hardships of possibly not having regular nourishment due to schools being closed. They deliver outstanding service every day and have been truly amazing during our current situation. Our Child Nutrition Heroes are to be celebrated in a BIG way as today is the nationally-recognized School Lunch Hero Day! I am deeply grateful to my administrative staff who joined me today to distribute sacks of goodies to each frontline worker. We are so proud of our CNP Team!”
