As of 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, all Ponca City Public School sites have power, except Wildcat Academy. Ponca City Public Schools WILL BE IN SESSION today, Thursday, October 29. In addition to academic instruction, PCPS has many students who need two hot meals and warmth because their homes have not had power. The safety and well-being of the students is top priority.
The City of Ponca City is working around the clock to restore power and city leaders are keeping me well-informed. IF the power at Wildcat Academy is not restored by this morning, Mrs. Streeter and the staff at Wildcat Academy will reach out to students with instructions.
Other area schools back in class today include Tonkawa. Northern Oklahoma College will return to class today, but will start late at 10:30 a.m.
