Owasso Student earns NOC Scholarship

Northern Oklahoma College athletic trainer Savannah Nelson was awarded the Nevona Kegans Scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year. Nelson is a Physical Education/ Athletic Training major who graduated from Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.

  The Nevona Kegans scholarship is presented to an athletic training student attending the NOC Tonkawa Campus.  Kegans was instrumental in establishing the athletic training program at Northern.  She is the 3rd recipient of this award and will receive a $500.00 scholarship.

  Presenting the scholarship certificate to Nelson is NOC President Cheryl Evans and Sheri Snyder, NOC Foundation Executive Director.  Joining them are Jeremy Hise, Athletic Director and Suzi Brown, HPER Division Chair along with Nevona Kegans-Bossert.

  Also, NOC recognized Kegans-Bossert was recognized for a private contribution allowing the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator for the NOC Wellness Center.
