The City of Ponca City is continuing with ice storm recovery efforts.
As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, Ponca City Energy reports that approximately 8,500 homes/businesses are without power.
They are hoping to make lots of progress throughout the day/night. Ponca City Energy along with Street and Park are working around the clock to restore power.
Unfortunately, there is no estimated time as to when everyone will be back on, each line is case by case depending on the severity of the line/problem. Ponca City Energy having others lose power with new trees falling.
