Over 7,800 new COVID-19 Cases Reported Between Saturday And Monday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 7,827 new COVID-19 cases between Saturday and Monday.

 

Separately, Saturday saw 3,845 new cases, 2,365 for Sunday and 1,617 for Monday. Oklahoma’s seen 550,239 COVID-19 cases overall as 23,582 cases are active. The new cases 7 day average is 2,806. The CDC provisional death count is 9,162. Oklahoma’s seen 30,986 hospitalizations.

 

As of Wednesday, August 25, Kay County has seen 5,949 COVID-19 cases, 132 deaths and 5,605 recoveries. Therefor, Kay County has 212 active cases. For active cases in surrounding counties, Garfield has 176, Osage has 282, Pawnee has 126, Noble has 35 and Grant has 10.

 

If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

 

A total of 3,717,622 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. This includes 2,057,606 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose and 1,684,647 Oklahomans fully vaccinated.
