The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 3,544 positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, Nov. 23. Oklahoma’s seen 177,874 COVID-19 cases overall as 33,844 cases are active.
15 additional virus-related deaths were reported Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,649. none of the deaths were for northern Oklahoma.
Kay County saw an increase with 39 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county’s stats to 1,605 COVID-19 cases, 22 deaths and 1,223 recoveries. As for the 360 active cases for Kay County, there are 286 for Ponca City, 45 for Blackwell, 34 for Newkirk, 18 for Tonkawa, three for Kaw City and two for Braman. OSDH is also reporting 2,069 new recoveries for Monday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 142,381. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Latest information from health officials as of Friday shows that 1,739,925 test results in Oklahoma have returned negative. There have been 11,020 total hospitalizations and 1,408 individuals with COVID-19 cases were currently hospitalized.
