The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,299 new COVID-19 cases in total for the weekend. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 99,387 COVID-19 cases as 13,769 cases are active.
Seven additional virus-related deaths were reported over the weekend to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,098.
Kay County has seen nine additional COVID-19 cases over the weekend to put the overall stats to 743 cases, 15 deaths and 621 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, there are 79 for Ponca City, 16 for Newkirk, eight for Tonkawa, six for Blackwell and five for Kaw City.
As for new COVID-19 cases over the weekend in local counties, there are 60 for Garfield, 35 for Payne, 28 for Washington, 23 for Logan, 16 for Osage, eight for Pawnee, five for Grant and one for Noble.

OSDH is reporting 2,038 recoveries since Friday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 84,520. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Friday, 1,224,883 test results have returned negative, there have been 7,124 total hospitalizations and 749 people are currently hospitalized.
