The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 5,170 new COVID-19 cases since Friday. This includes 1,537 cases on Saturday, 1,517 cases Sunday and 785 cases Monday.
According to the situation report, Oklahoma’s seen 619,056 COVID-19 cases since early 2020. While 11,288 cases are active, this is more than 500 less compared to the active cases from Thursday, Sept. 30. The new cases 7 day average is 1,331. The CDC provisional death count is 10,472.
According to the latest data from Wednesday, September 29, Kay County has seen an overall total of 6,792 COVID-19 cases, 146 deaths and 6,477 recoveries. Kay County has 169 active COVID-19 cases.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 4,120,769 doses have been administered. This includes 2,229,487 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose and 1,874,082 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
